THE INCREASE OF SWEET CORN COBS YIELD DUE TO NITROGEN FERTILIZERS AND STRAW MULCHING OF ROW SPACING

DescriptionThe research about effectiveness of ammonium nitrate with sowing and in phase of corn 5-6 leaves and row spacing cultivation before straw mulching was done in 2011-2013. The scheme of trial included the variants with straw mulching and without it. The variants without fertilizers and with small doses of them on background without mulching gave higher yield of cobs milk maturity then with mulching. But variants with maximum fertilizers (with sowing N30 and in phase of corn 5-6 leaves N30) gave maximum yield of cobs milk maturity 16,4 t/ha that is higher then similar variant without mulching for 1,7 t/ha. These results were confirmed by analysis of characters of growth and development of corn plants, productivity, and economic effectiveness. Therefore, net profit on variant with fertilizers with sowing N30 and additional fertilizing N30 on background of straw mulching increased for 75490 rubles for 1 ha in comparison with similar variant without mulching. DescriptionThe article reveals issues concerning the experiments on application of complex water-soluble fertilizer and straw mulching of row-spacing in sweet corn hybrid named Krasnodarskiy 280 CV growing management and the yield of milky ripeness. We have discovered that straw mulching in combination with complex water-soluble fertilizer named Vermisol used in 5-6 leaves, reduced evaporation and tended to moisture accumulation in soil what increased yield of ears for 0,6-1,7 t/ha. The lowest water-absorbing capacity in root-inhabited layer of soil (0-0,6 m) were 28,5 % from dry weight of soil in years of experiment. Registration of sum of precipitations in critical for corn period (in third decade of June and first decade of July) was in tolerable level. The best conditions of precipitation were in 2013, when in June and July the sum was 143 mm, and humidity of the air was in optimum level – 70 %. The temperature of the soil in 0-0,1 m layer in the day of mulching was the same as in the layer 0-0,05 m, tin increase for 5 0C in variants without mulching. The lower amplitude of temperature of the soil in vegetation period since the phase of 10-11 leaves had good influence for yield of milk maturity ears

SELECTION OF NEW SELF-POLLINATED CORN LINES FOR BREEDING OF EARLY MATURING HYBRIDS

DescriptionThe article covers the stages of evaluation and selection of new self-pollinated corn lines. The results of testing of new lines and test crosses were reflected. Comparative analysis of yield of the best test crosses was presented. General and specific combining ability of new lines was calculated. The opportunities of further usage of new lines in breeding programs and early maturing hybrids including these lines are considering. DescriptionThe created hybrids with new lines and testers were studied in 2014-2015, in the conditions of the central zone of the Krasnodar region and the Central Black Earth Region (Voronezh and Belgorod regions). As a parent forms for selection of early ripening and Medium early corn hybrids there were used lines of various groups of ripeness of the ident heterosis group: Kr 714 Kr 740 Kr 757 Kr 651 Kr and 602. All of these lines had high combining ability, and the line 602 Cr was used as a donor for a quick return of moisture from the grain when ripening. With the participation of the lines from the collection of the Institute and the donor line, we have created four hybrid combinations on the basis of which, the selection was received by the five-year selection of new source material for breeding new hybrids of corn. The assessment of comutiny capacity of new lines was performed using a linetesters of the genetic institute collections of 721MV Cr, Cr 801MV, Kr 654 Kr 244MV, Cr 602MV, Kr and Kr 802MV 752. Lines testers were represented by a heterosis group of Lancaster, Stiff Stalk Synthetic and wide lines with a genetic basis. According to the guidelines of the State strain testing of crops, and as a result of the field experiment, we have calculated the energy savings for new early maturing corn hybrids in comparison with the standard ones. Saving energy for equivalent fuel from new hybrids of corn comparing to the standard for 1 ha of crop was due to their grain productivity and varied depending on the conditions of the Voronezh region from 81.4 to 101.5 kg, in the Krasnodar region it was 79,0-97,9 kg

DescriptionThe article reveals issues concerning three years research about the rate of influence complex water soluble fertilizers in seed treatment and treatment vegetative plant in phase 3-5 and 7-8 leaves for grain yield increase. In the process of research were determined summarized water consumption and coefficient of water consumption, measuring of morphological signs, were given economical estimation of using complex water soluble fertilizers in corn grain yield increase. The research shows the efficiency of seed treatment of average corn hybrid Krasnodarskiy 377 AMV by complex water soluble fertilizer Lignohumate potassium at dose 0,5 l/t. Grain yield increase in mentioned variant was 4,4 c/ha in comparison with variant of distilled water treatment. The same grain yield increase was got by using in seed treatment the mixture of Albit, 0,05 l/t with Lignohumate potassium, 0,5 l/t. the treatment of vegetative plants in phase 3-5 leaves when were sowed non treated seed were less efficient than in phase 7-8 leaves, where grain yield increase was 4,5 c/ha. Seed treatment of Lignohumate potassium in combination with vegetative plants treatment in phase 7-8 leaves by using Megamix, Bionekskemi and Lignohumate potassium allowed to get grain yield level 80,3-80,8 c/ha
