THE METHOD OF SKETCHES AS AN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY FOR TRAINING SESSIONS
Description
The work considers the method of sketches or visual notes which plays a basic role in the development of training courses. We have focused on the method of sketches as "a variety of visual notes, consisting of handwritten text, drawings, diagrams, figurative elements". For immersion of the student into the subject area or object of study, the visualization of the material is an effective technique of knowledge. Cognitive function is manifested through the ability to know the object by the image and the further formation of ideas about the structure of the material being studied. It is noted, that visual methods and techniques are especially effective in the first stage of researches. Then, there is the collection of material, knowledge of the research object. Types of pumpkins were the object of research, presented the works of artists of different periods. The collection consists of 120 images that were collected in the period from 2012 to 2016. In the work, the attempt is made using the method of visual notes and visual techniques to build images of plants pumpkins which displayed in art works of different centuries and interpreted as "a kind of door" through which we can enter in our area (introduction history of culture, archaeogenetic, developmental biology, the history of selection)

METHOD OF SKETCHES IN ARCHAEOGENETICS AND BREEDING OF AGRICULTURAL PLANTS
Description
The issues associated with visualization images of the examined object and the method of sketches or visual notes have been discussed in the article. The images of lagenaria (bottle, shape pumpkins or gourds) in works of art and agrobotanic illustration as a research tool have been selected, with the aim to conduct a visual analysis of the morphological characteristics of bottle gourd for further application of the knowledge gained in archaeogenetics and plant breeding. The article presents images of plants of lagenaria for the period from 1311 to 2014 years. Visual analysis of the morphological characteristics of lagenaria on the basis of visual notes allowed us to identify several key points: the polymorphism of fruits and different duration of the vegetation period, particularly of the reproductive system, which is characterized by different proportions of male and female flowers, the presence of pollinators, night flowering, fruit pubescence on the first stages of development, polymorphism seeds, features maturation based on the size and weight of the fetus. Understanding the range of individual development allows the breeder to submit a complete selection issue, search for new signs will touch the ancient forms of the object, diseases, pests, images which have remained only on the pictures. In our opinion, the method of visual notes can be successfully used in the educational process because it stimulates creativity and cognitive activity of students to search for information about the studied object and its reflection

MEMES AS A FORM OF ILLUSTRATION IN SCIENCE AND EDUCATION
Description
In our study we attempt to analyze a new form of illustration − the meme that is widely used in science and educational process. To achieve this goal we had to assemble a collection of images to catalog and description in order to understand the new role of the illustrative image. Meme is defined as a unit of cultural information. According to the definition of Wikipedia, a meme can consider any idea, character, manner or way of doing things, consciously or unconsciously transmitted from person to person through speech, video, writing, rituals, drawings, gestures, etc. The term meme and the concept of the meme was proposed by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins in 1976 in his book "the Selfish gene". The article shows illustrative examples of memes based on the artwork and paintings of the great masters of painting, considered the use of created images. It shows the history of illustrative memes and transformation of images in the modern world of science and education. Using memes in scientific work, as a form of illustration, it can be noted that visualization of the object of research allows you to develop visual thinking, which has identified a number of functions: cognitive, communicative, methodological. Cognitive function is manifested in the ability to cognize an object through an image, communicative – explain the problem or task through the image; methodological – to build research with consideration of the peculiarities of the structure and morphology of the object

CATALOGING IMAGES OF DANDELION (TARAXACUM OFFICINALE WIGG.) WITH FASCIATION
Description
The phenomenon of fasciation on the example of a higher plant called “Taraxacum officinale Wigg” has been considered. The effect of fasciation on the various particularities of plants has been shown. There are numerous examples of the different fasciation types of present plant’s type which are growing in different ecological areas. We have demonstrated that the phenomenon of fasciation exists in natural populations and in areas with development pressures, and it may occur after mechanical damage to plants of Taraxacum officinale. In most cases, fasciation is regarded as an exceptional phenomenon. A number of authors have distinguished fasciation to non-inheritable and inheritable. The first is the influence of external factors such as insect damage, injury, weather conditions. The second is caused by internal reasons. The number of regularities was installed that the reproductive bodies of plants are more often fascinated, and thermophilic forms are more likely to have fasciation. Photographic images of various types of fasciation, patterns and diagrams are given. Fasciation can be considered as a marker because of the connection of this phenomenon with the violation of the ecological situation. Plants with morphoses including ones with fasciation of individual organs, can act as indicators of pollution of the natural environment. Thus, the phenomenon of fasciation affects many areas of science, such as ecology, morphogenesis, genetic monitoring. The possibility of studying the phenomenon of fasciation on a model object of dandelion is shown. As a methodical approach to the study of this phenomenon, it is proposed to create a database of images, in this way it would be cataloging the image

Modern domestic tomato hybrid should be competitive with tomato hybrids of foreign selection. To create a model of a future hybrid, a collection of modern tomato hybrids of domestic and foreign selection presented on the seed market was investigated. During the study, a modern method of genetic study of the genotype of tomato Real-Time PCR was used. As a result of the study, a model of a modern tomato hybrid with tolerance to powdery mildew of tomato was described. In the future, it is planned to carry out breeding work to create such a hybrid. In the course of studying the F1 collection of tomato hybrids, it was found that the modern model of a tomato hybrid should have the following characteristics: a semi-vegetative type of growth with closely spaced internodes, early and medium ripening, a simple type of inflorescence with 4–5 fruits if the average weight of fruit is more than 200 grams; with 6–7 fruits weighing up to 150 grams for collection by tassels. High strength of fruits with the absence of concentric and radial cracking, suitable for long-distance transportation, is required. In the genotype of the modern hybrid model, in addition to tomato powdery mildew resistance (Oidiun lycopersici), it is necessary to have a complex of resistance genes to such diseases as tobacco mosaic virus (Tomato mosaic tobamovirus), Fusarium oxysporum, verticillosis wilt of the tomato; ), brown spot of tomato (Cladosporium fulvum). It is also desirable the presence of a gene of resistance to the yellow leaf curl virus of tomato (Tomato yellow leaf curl virus) and the gall nematode (Meloidogyne incognita)

06.01.05 Selection and seed production of agricultural plants (agricultural sciences)
Description
The article discusses the method of selection using markers in the selection of parent pairs for hybridization, in the selection process and in the subsequent evaluation of parent lines, used in linear and backcross selection of tomatoes. The work was performed on tomato hybrids that combine resistance genes to tomato mosaic virus (ToMV) or tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) in their genome. The research used seeds of foreign F1 tomato hybrids recommended by the manufacturer as resistant to the tobacco mosaic virus. Most of the tomato hybrids were Dutch selection, such leading firms as De Ruiter Seeds, Enza Zaden, Rijk Zwaan. The aim of the work was to test a system of hybridization probes designed to identify a gene for resistance to the tobacco mosaic virus. The study of the genotype of tomato plants was carried out in the laboratory of molecular diagnostics of plants , equipped with modern devices for PCR analysis on the basis of NIIOZG (Krymsk). Plant material was collected in different phases of plant vegetation. pre-numbered 1.5 ml test tubes (SSI-1200-00), plastic tablets, tweezers, and distilled water were used to collect plant samples. The collected samples were stored in a refrigerator until the plant DNA was isolated. During the study, collectible tomato samples were studied, including 8 F1 hybrids and 2 lines used as controls. According to the results of genetic analysis using the marker of the TMV resistance gene, it was found that all hybrids and one control line # 175/14 have a resistance gene in their genotype, and the analysis also showed the state of the gene – homozygous or heterozygous. The results of artificial infection confirmed the results obtained by PCR analysis. At the same time, using genetic research, it is possible to determine the exact state of the gene in the plant, which cannot be determined by methods of artificial infection, since no visual differences were found between plants with a heterozygous and homozygous state of the gene. The created marker and PCR analysis method can be recommended for wide application in the selection process of tomato culture. As a result of research, it was found that modern tomato hybrids have a gene for resistance to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) in their genotype. This was determined by genetic analysis and confirmed by a test using artificial infection
