Description
The opposition of utopianism and the theory of liberal democracy have rather deep roots, having structural character. Its basis becomes the epistemology bases: incompatibility and a com-petition of representations concerning the nature of social knowledge and social life. The funda-mental disagreement between utopianism and liberalism should be considered in epistemological terms and its derivative – a scientific method. The approach of any utopian it will be obligatory rationalistic, internally consecutive and total. Modern stream in philosophy of a science, however, create "climate" more favorable for rationalism, as makes possible apologia for Utopia as way for social theory.
