Description
Watermelon has great economic importance. The fruits have high nutritional and medicinal value, excellent taste, very healthy and are in great demand among the population. Soil and climatic conditions of the Temryuk district are favourable for growing watermelon. High yield and excellent fruit quality in the commercial led to the popularity of the Temryuk watermelon not only on the black sea coast, but also throughout Russia. The urgency of improving the assortment of the watermelon is increased competition among manufacturers, increasing consumer culture of the population, the increase in sales volumes, including due to the appearance on the market of varieties and hybrids of non-traditional colors of bark and pulp. The aim of our study was to establish the most adapted hybrids of watermelon of different segments, with high yield and marketability of fruits, which are promising for growing in the Temryuk district. Scientific novelty of our work lead to the research objects – new, recently created hybrids of watermelon, promising for cultivation in the Krasnodar region. The work has great practical significance, since on the basis of these studies identified promising hybrids of watermelon foreign seeds of various segments of the precocity, which with appropriate cultivation agrobiological and economic points of view

Description
The article presents the results of studies on the biological characteristics of growth and fruiting, as well as the yield of adaptive varieties of strawberries in the conditions of the Prikubanskaya horticulture zone of the Krasnodar region. The objects of study are new and promising varieties of strawberries: Zenga-zengana (k), Onda, San-Diaz. The experiments were performed using the method of randomized reps. In the experiment there are 3 options, in each there are three replications of 20 plants. Variants and repetitions are placed sequentially. Agricultural records of the growth and fruiting of strawberry plants were carried out according to generally accepted methods; statistical processing of research results was carried out using the analysis of a variance method described by B.A.Dospehov. The results of our research showed that Zenga-zengana bushes (control) turned out to be the tallest. In the Onda variety, the height of the bush is 2 cm less than in the control variety; and San Diez varieties are 4 cm, respectively. It should be noted that the most undersized plants require a smaller area of nutrition. It has been established that flowers pollinated a few days after their disclosure develop more rapidly into berries than those that were pollinated immediately after opening. Pollen in flowers of the first order is less than in flowers of the third or fourth order. The stamens of the first flowers are often underdeveloped, their pollen is released and germinates worse. In our experience, the average weight of fruits and the yield as a whole depends on the biological productivity of the varieties. Onda was the most fruitful variety, and the rest varieties were at the control level

AGRO-BIOLOGICAL INDICATORS OF CORN DEPENDING ON THE DENSE OF PLANT STANDING AND SEED PROTECTOR
06.01.01 General agriculture, crop production (agricultural sciences)
DescriptionThe article provides an overview of the results of the study of the growth and development of corn in the conditions of the northern zone of the Krasnodar region, depending on the density of plant standing and seed dressing. The object of research was an early-ripe hybrid of Ross 199 corn. Two factors were studied in the experiment: factor A - plant stand density (60, 70 and 80 thousand units / ha), factor B - seed dresser (Maxim XL (k) and Maxim Quatro). The studies were carried out in accordance with the thematic plan of scientific research of the Department of General and Irrigated Agriculture of Kuban State Agrarian University. The total area of the plot is 1008 m2, the accounting area is 672 m2. The number of rows in the plot is only 8, including accounting - 4. The arrangement of the plots is systematic. Three repetition. The predecessor is winter wheat. The calculations and observations in the experiment were carried out according to generally accepted methods. The technology of growing corn in the experimental plot corresponded to generally accepted for this zone and culture. The predecessor is winter wheat. Our studies have found that the leaf area was largely influenced by the density of plant standing – with the thickening of crops, it decreased by 2.9 thousand m2 / ha or 28.7 %, and there were practically no differences in the leaf area between different variants of seed treatment. Corn plants increase the accumulation of dry matter throughout the growing season. With an increase in the density of plant standing, the accumulation of dry matter decreases, and the studied protectants do not affect this indicator

The article discusses agro-botanical illustration of hand fans painting as an independent resource of visual information on the history of culture of introduction, distribution, species diversity and plant breeding. We have reviewed the history of the fan and the causes of widespread of fans and the respective painting plants. The article shows the different trends in the filing of a visual image in the fan art: from accurate, detailed drawing of the image, until smooth, blurred contours, made in the "boneless" or "acyclic" technique. On the example of pumpkins, lagenaria, soybeans, corn, flowers, namely asters and peonies we have shown various aspects of breeding and agronomic work for several centuries. The article uses the method of visual analysis as a tool for collection and analysis of data on breeding and introduction of a number of crops on the example of specific crops, particularly soybeans. The analysis includes a description of morphotypes, area of origin, distribution, physiology, individual characteristics, and insects found in the ecological niche. It is noted that visual analysis can be successfully applied in the study of varietal diversity of a number of flower crops: asters, peonies, chrysanthemums, and some fruits and vegetables

The article considers turban cucumber forms, we have also described the origin of this characteristic, briefly overviewed turban forms in species of the family of Cucurbitaceae. We have given the agro-botanical iconography of this trait in pumpkin cultures for cucumis. In Europe, China and America turbanoformis cucumber forms are used as a vegetable, there are some varieties. It is shown that turbanoformis forms are found in the fruit of the cucumber with hermaphrodite flower, polunina ovaries, short or shareplace the melon, and also in forms with the ongoing evolutionary process
