L.D.Kolodeznikova's article illuminates the phenomenon of modern Yakut shamanism, which is reviving on a joint of 20 – 21 centuries. From all kinds of shamanisms in territory of Siberia the Yakut one is the most studied. Various forms of shamanism revival are displayed in modern Yakutia. First of all it concerns the field of national medicine and various forms of ceremonial actions. Description
The article is dedicated to one of the oldest genres of the Yakut folklore. Algys is connected with perception of the world and the socio-economic structure of the Sakha people. Basing on the structural anthropology of Claude Levi Strauss, the author analyzes three Yakut algyses: "Spell of Fire ", "Spell of Bayanaj ", "Supplication of Fisherman". The results of the structural analysis of three well-known Yakut algyses confirm the efficiency of the ideas of Claude Levi Strauss and the validity of using of author's methodological approaches
