INFLUENCE OF HILLY TERRAIN SLOPE ON THE VOLUME OF ROAD EARTHWORK
DescriptionThe analytic dependence for slope correction calculation is obtained. This correction is introduced in the formula for calculating the area of earth roadbed cross-section. It allows detailing the volume of road earthwork at the design stage. The correction size depends on the slope steepness as well as cross-sectional parameters of the earth roadbed. The calculations show that the correction size is essential if ratio of slope is 25 or less
