Description
In the course of the work, 33 ISSR markers were evaluated for efficacy in the detection of genetic changes in regenerants of Galanthus woronowii Losinsk.. Ten markers were found suitable for genotyping according to the species under study. Five samples from the selected ten were analyzed for a sample of 20 plants of regenerants and a mother plant. The obtained data testify to genetic stability of plant material in the process of microclonal propagation
-
Description
The study was aimed on approbation of 11 ISSR DNA-markers for their using in DNA fingerprinting of rare plant species of the Western Caucasus Lilium Caucasicum Miscz. Ex Grossh., Galánthus woronowii Kolak., Pancratium maritimum L. according to results DNA-markers set was selected for further using in the investigation of genetic diversity of the mentioned plant species

INTRODUCTION OF SOME RARE AND ENDANGERED SPECIES OF WESTERN CAUCASUS FLORA TO IN VITRO CULTURE
Description
There were developed some methods of sterilization and introduction of the following endangered species of Caucasian flora to in vitro culture: Campanula sclerophylla Kolak., Lilium caucasicum Miscz. ex Grossh., Daphne woronowii Kolak., Pancratium maritimum L.. The effect of different plant hormones as well as their combinations and concentrations on the regeneration, growth and development of plants is studied. As a result of clonal propagation, more than 100 plants of Campanula sclerophylla Kolak, about 30 plants of Pancratium maritimum L., and 150 samples of Lilium caucasicum Miscz. Ex Grossh are saved in tissue culture
-
Description
It is shown that under in vitro conditions, regenerated plants of Lilium caucasicum cultivated in the light of varying intensity and spectral composition didn’t have the same biometric parameters (length and width of leaves) or number of micro bulbs. There were established some specific effects of the two main areas of photosynthetically active radiation - blue and red on the growth and development of the plants as well as on the content of photosynthetic pigments

ESTIMATION OF TEA CROP ADAPTIVE POTENTIAL IN THE CONDITIONS OF ADYGEI
06.00.00 Agricultural sciences
Description
Such agrochemical and agrophysical properties of soils as base saturation degree, number of fine sand and dust fractions, as well as of physical clay limit the tea crop productivity in the Maykop region and in damp subtropics of Russia. Multiple regression models of their close influence on tea plantations productivity have been obtained
-
Description
Increasing of tea production in the foothills of Adygea should be based on potential soil properties suitable for tea plant. The goal was achieved using modern methods of soil evaluation of tea plantations. The evaluation criteria were the following agrochemical and agro indicators: soil acidity (pH KCl); hydrolytic acidity; the sum of exchangeable bases; bases saturation; granulometric composition. It was found that the soil under tea plantation in Adygeya classifies as brown forest poorly unsaturated with the level of potential fertility rated as satisfactory (bonitet rating 40-60). However, the low supply of nutrients in the layer 0-40 cm: phosphorus (19,04 ± 2,42 mg / 100 g soil), potassium (17,70 ± 1,60 mg / 100 g soil) and a sufficiently high degree of saturation of soil bases in the layer of 50- 100 cm (67,10 ± 11,67%) in combination with a soil moisture deficit determine their low productivity of 16,0 ± 5,0 kg / ha, whereas their potential productivity of 30-50 t / ha. The development of scientifically grounded, targeted ameliorative and agro-technical measures (irrigation, nutrition systems using physiologically acidic forms of nitrogen and potash fertilizers that reduce the degree of saturation of the soil bases) will help to increase the effective soil fertility and allow the tea plants reach its biological potential and achieve predicted productivity in Adygea region

RESULTS OF FEIJOA HYBRIDIZATION IN THE HUMID SUBTROPICS OF KRASNODAR REGION
06.00.00 Agricultural sciences
Description
Feijoa crop is valuable due to the complex of useful traits (high frost resistance, big yield, ornamental value and long profitable period). These fruits have delicate flavor, nutritional and dietary properties. The fruits are juicy with a pleasant, gentle, refreshing sweet and sour taste, specific strawberry-pineapple flavor and contain significant quantities of important substances for the human body. Pectin (up to 2.5%), sugars (6-14%), proteins, vitamins, organic acids, mineral salts, etc. are among them. However, the challenge of its cultivation is the lack of cultivars and plantations are represented by a mixture of hybrids originated from free pollination, and characterized by a great variety in biological and morphological traits, differing not only in yield, but in size, shape and yield period. In this connection, the breeders faced the objective to create new cultivars of feijoa, using classical and modern breeding methods and available genetic resources for commercial gardening and production. Development of the core hybrid diversity material and selection of promising forms are the most important stages of the breeding process, providing success of further breeding programs. The breeding of varieties and forms for crossings was carried out according to the principle of combining the desirable traits of the obtained offspring. There are direct and reverse crosses in six combinations ('Dachnaya' x 'Superba', 'September' x 'Superba', 'Dagomysskaya' x 'Superba', 'Superba' x 'Dachnaya', 'Superba' x 'September', Superba ; X 'Dachnaya'). The viability of the pollen was evaluated prior to pollination, by germination on a nutrient medium - 1% agar-agar + 15% sucrose. The degree of fertility varied year by year: in 2015 - 60-62%, and in 2016 - 68-77-88%. The best crossing combinations were established 'September' x 'Superba' and the 'Superba' x 'Dagomyskaya for the creation of the hybrid genepool of Feijoa sellowiana. A high percentage of germination of the feijoa seeds was noted in combinations of 'Dagomyskaya' x 'Superba' (74%) and 'Superba' x 'Dagomysskaya' (70%).

ECOLOGICAL AND BIOLOGICAL FEATURES OF GROWING OF OWN-ROOT PLANTING MATERIAL OF FEIJOA
Description
The results of breeding of lignified cuttings of varieties and forms of Feijoa in the humid subtropical of Russia are presented. Lignified cuttings cut from the top and bottom were covered with uterine of root-own plant varieties of "Superba", "8-10""0-01"and "D-1" and placed on the beds with different substrates: tea soil; peat + sand, perlite. It is established, that the lignified cuttings from the bottom of the overgrown Feijoa variety “Superba” were better rooted in the "tea soil," from the top of the shoots - on the substrate peat + sand. Lignified cuttings of all forms and types of plants studied rooted worse in perlite
