RESEARCH OF MODERNIZED BD-4M HAULM SHREDDER WITH ARTICULATED KNIVES
DescriptionIn the general complex of mechanized works when growing potatoes, potato harvesting is one of the main operations. The efficiency of potatoes growing at the farm largely depends on harvest quality and crop retrieval. When harvesting potatoes with potato harvesters their productivity largely depends on the state of potato haulm. In a case of evolved and laid haulm the harvesting machines productivity falls sharply due to working organs clogging and in some cases their work is not possible at all. Therefore, to facilitate the work of potato harvesters it is necessary to remove potato haulm before harvesting. But the process of haulm removing is very laborious, including several operations, such as mowing, raking and transportation, each of which is performed by a separate machine. The appearance of domestically made rotary-type machines like KIR-1.5, UBD-3 and BD-4 at the end of 1950-1960 made it possible to mechanize the harvesting process of potato haulm. But it was noticed in the operation that rotor machines have a number of drawbacks caused by imperfections in the rotor design, its kinematic regimes, lack of balance and some others. Therefore, studies aimed at improving the design of rotary-type machines seem to be very important. To achieve this goal some theoretical and experimental studies and lab and field tests of the modernized four-row shredder have been carried out. When studying methods of mathematical analysis and elements of classical mechanics were used. Some modern methods were applied in the lab and field tests. THE RESEARCH OF PARAMETERS OF WOODEN CHIP COLORING
DescriptionThis work presents main kinds of colourants and methods of painting wood particles. Based on wood structure analysis, it was revealed that hard wood, possessing tracheides and vessels as conducting elements, have the optimal capacity for coloration, in comparison with coniferous trees. A methodology was developed of cloning wooden particles, in the form of chips, with forced immersion in order to obtain established parameters of saturation and brightness. The experiments were conducted with chips of 15-50 mm long, 5-20 mm wide and 3-7 mm thick. The composition of colouring agent included water, acetic acid, and water-emulsion colourants of different types and colours (№1 – colour code (red, yellow, and brown) №2 – colorant (lilac and orange) and №3 – paint). Experience has shown the needed concentration of liquors and mass percentage of compounding ingredients. The research was undertaken to study concentration dependence on the time of allowance and saturation. In consequence of colouring experimental batches of chips, a painting saturation of 4-9 points was obtained at the allowance of 120 and 140 seconds. Dependence of brightness from solubility was determined, with high correlation between given parameters on Pearson Criteria (more than 0.9). Comparative analysis made it possible to discover that the better colouring of particles is created with the red paint. In this case maximum colouring effect is achieved with liquor of water-emulsion paint. Subsequent to the experimental results, a design of installation for colouring wooden particles was developed and patented

Ozonization of incubation eggs when storing at an egg-storehouse is well included in technological process of production and egg sorting. Ozone influences absolutely all known viruses and microbes. Larger chickens are hatched from ozone-treated eggs, safety of chickens is increased. However, the present technology did not obtain the wide spreading in the sphere of poultry farming because of uneven concentration due to the volume of treated premises. In the result of mathematical modeling there was worked out the system of management with electrical and technological process of ozonization of egg-storehouses of poultry factories, indexes of quality the work of which was assessed in the system of automated projecting of logical-dynamic systems SimInTech. The summarized integral mean-square index (J = 9,7%) decreased on 19,3 % in comparison with the variant without regulation (J = 29%), that testifies on enough qualitative regulation of distribution of ozone concentration in an egg-storehouse and satisfies the shown acceptable value of the present index (no more 15%). On the basis of produced researches there was created the nomogram determining the tension of charging facility and discharge of a ventilator of electric ozonator in dependence on treated egg amount. In accordance with technical solutions there was worked out the principal electric circuit with system of electric equipment of electric technological process of ozonization of egg-storehouses of poultry factories on the basis of microcontroller ATmega8

We have presented a table of analogues of mechanical and electrical quantities of a thermal power plant, which shows the relation between the useful power of the engine and mechanical efficiency, as well as the relationship between engine parameters and regime of its operation; we have also developed an electro-mechanical analogy, which helped to get the expressions linking the useful engine power with shaft speed, engine performance, coefficient of mechanical resistance and mechanical efficiency with speed, coefficient of drag and engine performance. Similar expressions were obtained for the relations of these variables with other sets of parameters. The article also shows corresponding graphs. The expressions for the maximum net power and corresponding speed of rotation was found. Thus, the efficiency isЅ. It is shown that in larger (compared with the extreme) speed, the mode is less efficient than with the smaller, for the same useful power. A method is presented to measure the important characteristics of the finished engine – motor operation and its rotational drag coefficient used in the resulting expressions

The negative economic consequences of using sun-flower seeds infested by molds Phomopsis helianthi Munt. Cvet. et al. as inoculums are described in the article. The necessity of finding the ways of these molds inactivation alternative to the way of chemical disinfection, and the advantages of usage of electro-physical ways of seeds’ treatment for this purpose and in particular electromagnetic field (EMF) of microwave frequency (MWF) are explained. The construction of the laboratory experimental setup is shown, on the bases of which the process of Flagman variety of sunflower seeds disinfection EMF MWF is researched. The testing technique is described too. The observable sowing sunflower with the starting infection rate by phomopsis at 22% is treated for different durations in the EMF MWF, being in either static or continuously mowing layers. As result of these experiments the particular rates of treatment providing the total disinfection of sunflower seeds from molds Phomopsis helianthi Munt. Cvet. et al. are revealed and the discovered contradictions in the experiments’ results are explained
