Description
While studying the content of hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha and vascular endothelial growth factor in the tumor tissue, oral fluid and peripheral blood of 141 patients with oral mucosa cancer T1-3N0-2M0, it was shown that the development of purulent inflammatory postoperative complications in patients with oral mucosa cancer is associated with an increased expression of HIF-1α in the tissue and its translocation from the cytoplasm to the nucleus, activation of the neoangiogenesis processes. It is informative to determine HIF-1α factor in the blood serum, which, for further development, can be used as a non-invasive diagnostic marker to predict the postoperative course in this category of patients

THE ROLE OF GAP JUNCTIONS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ASTROCYTIC HUMAN BRAIN TUMOR
DescriptionRecently, much attention is paid to research the role of cell-cell interactions by gap junctions in the process of malignant transformation and mechanisms of antitumor resistance. Meanwhile, the greatest interest is astrocytic tumors. Depending on the degree of malignancy, astrocytomas are divided into: pilocytic astrocytoma (Grade I), subependymal giant cell astrocytoma (Grade I), pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma (Grade II), diffuse astrocytoma (Grade II), anaplastic astrocytoma (Grade III), glioblastoma (Grade IV ) gliomatosis cerebri (Grade IV). Information of literature devoted to astrocytic tumors (gliomas) - the most common brain tumor in large part obtained in studies in cell cultures and different contradictions. Along with data on the reduction of glial tumors cells communicability through GJ, there is evidence of an opposite character - a functionally active GJ in gliomas and inhibition of tumor growth by reducing intercellular communicability by GJ. However, up to now there have been no studies of the effect and function of hemichannels in cancer cells, which would provide detailed information on: 1) the characteristic of presence and relative abundance of hemichannels in cancer cells; 2) evaluation of absorption / release of hemichannels mediated molecules in tumor cells than in non-tumor cells; 3) functional consequences of activation and blocking of hemichannels in tumor cells and 4) the prognostic value of the expression / activation of hemichannels in human malignancies

In this article application of a new method of an artificial intellect is examined: systemic-cognitive analysis and its toolkit - "Eidos" system are used for an estimation of level of nonspecific resistance of an organism of patient on the basis of the preoperative information about it received by a method of cardiorespiratory synchronism (CRS) and forecasting of duration of the postoperative rehabilitation period on this basis. The technology and a technique of cognitive structurization and subject domain formalization, and also preparation of training sample is described in detail.

Mortality from malignant diseases is directly linked to early metastasis and relapse. It is now possible to identify individual tumor cells in bone marrow biopsies and peripheral blood. Colorectal cancer is one of the leading places in the structure of cancer incidence and mortality, both in Russia and around the world. Studies have shown that after surgery the ability of tumor cells to the dissemination and implantation increases. The work contains 30 patients with the verified colorectal cancer with metastasis to the liver. To determine the CSC we have applied an analysis technology in CellSearch System ™ (Janssen Diagnostics, LLC). Our study of the number and frequency of detection of circulating tumor cells in peripheral blood of patients and control group demonstrates the reduction in the number of CTCs during laparoscopic surgery and changing the dynamics of the level of tumor cells in the form of reduction from the stage of the mobilization of the drug due to minimally invasive access, minimizing manipulation in the projection of the tumor and as a consequence, preventing the release into the blood stream of single tumor cells

TRANSCRIPTOMIC ACTIVITY OF ESTROGEN-REGULATORY GENES IN MALIGNANCY UTERINE TISSUES
DescriptionUterine cancer is the sixth on prevalence of cancer among women in developed countries. Hyper-estrogen level by endogenous or exogenous origin plays the leading role in this disease pathogenesis. This study purpose was investigating the expression of genetic loci responsible for the estrogen reception and metabolism to better understanding of the molecular mechanisms of uterine tissues malignancy. We investigated the relative expression of genes (CYP1A 1, CYP1A 2, CYP1B 1, CYP19A, ESR1, ESR2, GPER, STS, SULT1A and SULT1E1) by real-time PCR in tumor and conditionally healthy uterine tissues of 27 female patients in Southern Russia aged 38-72 years with histologically confirmed diagnosis of uterine cancer. It is found that transcription activity of these genes during malignancy of uterine tissues depends of female patients age and the stage of tumor cells differentiation. It is found that malignancy change in the transcriptional activity of investigated genes in uterine tissue depends of patients age and stage of tumor cells differentiation. Particularly, it was found, that changes of gene transcription balance of enzymes that provide sulfation and hydrolysis of steroid sulfates is depending of patient age and the degree of tumor cells differentiation. In addition, the sinking of gene expression of nuclear estrogen receptor ESR1 as lowering cell differentiation of tumor tissues. We have also shown gene expression of nuclear estrogen receptor ESR1 decline as lowering cell differentiation of tumor tissues

LEVEL OF MOTIVATION OF CREW FOR FIRST AID TREATMENT ON SHIPS OF COMMERCIAL FLEET
DescriptionThe results of the questionnaire survey of cadets of Maritime University, Maritime College and students who had been given training in the Institution of Advanced Training are presented. It is revealed that the level of motivation of ship personnel for first aid treatment to victims on commercial ships is two times lower than that of cadets. The conclusion about the necessity of solution the legal aspects of sailorsparamedics, working under the Russian flag was made

Description
The study included 245 patients from 60 to 89 years, comparable by age and sex, were divided into two groups according to region of residence (Arctic and Antarctic), for two age groups (elderly and senile age) and by the sex. The main method of the study of cerebral hemodynamics in this work has been ultrasound dopplerography (usdg). Doppler sonography survey with color scanning and spectral Doppler analysis of the cervical arteries on extracranial level was performed according to standard method for ultrasound systems ACUSON “Sequoia-512” sensor linear format of the generated frequency of the ultrasonic signal 4 and 8 MHz in the ever-wave mode. The entire sample investigated the functional state of the kidneys. GFR was determined by the settlement formulas; Cockcroft&Gault GFR= (140-age) × body weight (kg) 810* creatinine of blood (mol/l)×E, where E-1,23 for men, 1,04-for women and MDRD: GFR= 186×(creatinine of blood mg/dd)-1,154 × (age)-0,203 × (0,742 for women) with subsequent determination of the stages of chronic kidney disease. We used a brief MDRD formula, which of laboratory indicators requires only establishing the values of concentrations of serum creatinine
