FREQUENCY CONVERTERS WITH IMPROVED PERFORMANCE
DescriptionIn the autonomous power supply systems there are widely used frequency converters that are able to simultaneously increase or decrease the frequency of the current and voltage stabilizing power supply. These positive properties of frequency converters can improve the operational and technical characteristics of the autonomous power supply system in the complex. The article suggests a functional diagram of a frequency converter performed on reversible rectifiers. We have presented timing diagrams illustrating the principle of its operation. The article also deals with two functional scheme of direct frequency converters executed on single-phase, threephase transformer with a rotating magnetic field. The principle of operation of these schemes has been also discussed in the timing diagrams. The proposed technical solutions for frequency converters contain a smaller amount of power electronic devices that make it possible, thereby reducing the level of electromagnetic interference, increase the efficiency and reliability of performance inverters. The considered scheme of frequency converters, can improve the technical characteristics of the autonomous power supply systems in the complex. We can significantly improve the performance of power systems through the use of modular aggregating principle of the basic functional units of an autonomous system

PROSPECTS OF SMALL HYDROPOWER PLANTS IN THE PIEDMONT AND MOUNTAIN STREAMS
DescriptionThe article reveals the advantages of low energy in comparison with other renewable energy sources. It is shown that broad prospects are visible for small (100 - 1000 kW) and micro hydropower plants (up to 100 kW) when used in the foothill and mountain areas. At the same time, the construction of hydropower plants of sleeve-type has improved the operational and technical characteristics, among other types of small-scale power plants. The article presents main analytical expressions for calculating hydroelectric power generator and it has built graphic dependences for the power generator of pressure and water flow. To improve the performance of small hydroelectric power plants we have proposed using unregulated water turbine and non-contact induction generator in their construction, thus, we could stabilize voltage and frequency directly by the frequency converter. Depending on the requirements of consumers to power supply reliability and electricity quality, we have offered several options for structural and circuit solutions of autonomous systems of electrosupply, made using small hydroelectric power plants. Thus, we can greatly enhance the efficiency of such systems if they are used with other types of renewable sources, such as windfarms or solar power plants

VOLTAGE REGULATORS ASYNCHRONOUS GENERATORS
DescriptionA promising is currently the use of asynchronous generators with capacitive excitation as a source of electricity in stand-alone power systems. Drive asynchronous generators may exercise as a thermal engine and wind wheel wind power plant or turbines of small hydropower plants. The article discusses the structural and schematics of voltage stabilizers and frequency of asynchronous generators with improved operational and technical specifications. Technical novelty of design solutions of the magnetic system and stabilizers asynchronous generator of electricity parameters confirmed by the patents for the invention of the Russian Federation. The proposed technical solution voltage stabilizer asynchronous generators, can reduce the weight of the block capacitors excitation and reactive power compensation, as well as to simplify the control system power circuit which has less power electronic devices. For wind power plants it is an important issue not only to stabilize the voltage of the generator, but also the frequency of the current. Recommend functionality stabilizer schemes parameters of electric power made for direct frequency converters with artificial and natural switching power electronic devices. It is also proposed as part of stabilization systems use single-phase voltage, three-phase transformers with rotating magnetic field, reduce the level of electromagnetic interference generated by power electronic devices for switching, enhance the efficiency and reliability of the stabilizer.

VOLTAGE REGULATORS OF SYNCHRONOUS GENERATORS
DescriptionSynchronous generators are the primary source of electrical power autonomous electrosupply systems, including backup systems. They are also used in a structure of rotating electricity converters and are widely used in renewable energy as part of wind power plants of small, mini and micro hydroelectric plants. Increasing the speed and the accuracy of the system of the voltage regulation of synchronous generators is possible due to the development of combined systems containing more stabilizers. The article illustrates the functional schemes of circuit voltage stabilizers and frequency synchronous generators (with electromagnetic excitation and permanent magnet excitation) and describes the features of their work, including two and three-aggregate rotating converters of electricity used in uninterruptible power supply systems. To improve the technical characteristics of the system of stabilization we have proposed functional solutions for stabilizers of synchronous generators made on the base of direct frequency converters and using a transformer with a rotating magnetic field. To improve the reliability of and to improve the operational characteristics of the autonomous independent sources of electricity we suggest creating the main functional blocks and the elements of the stabilization system in a modular way. The functional circuit solutions of voltage regulators of synchronous generators and the characteristics of their work considered in the article, are able to improve the efficiency of pre-design work in the development of new technical solutions for stabilizing the voltage and the frequency in synchronous generators of electrosupply autonomous systems

PROSPECTS AND FEATURES OF BIOGASOLINE STATIONS
DescriptionThe article deals with one of the promising areas belonging to energy-saving technologies; it is the introduction of biogasoline stations into agricultural production. The analysis of the application in the world has been shown. To determine the cost-effectiveness of biogasoline stations we have shown the data for the calculation of the potential of biomass: organic waste settlements; animal waste; waste of poultry; crop residues; waste processing industry. We have obtained graphic dependences of electricity generated in the day from livestock and poultry, as well as the number of sunflower, rice, and sugar beets. The table also shows the thermal properties of organic agricultural wastes, allowing increasing the efficiency of calculations to determine the biomass resources. We have considered the schemes of biogasoline stations, a gas turbine power plant and a steam turbine power plant and disclosed the features of their work. To improve the operating and technical specifications of the stations intended for power generation we have proposed using non-contact generators and stabilization of parameters of electric power in their designs to carry out direct frequency converter. We have disclosed the advantages and disadvantages of biogas, as well as the direction of its effective use. It is shown that the use of all the possibilities in the complex of biogasoline stationns (production of fertilizers and motor oil, production of heat and electricity) would improve the efficiency and the payback of investment would be from 3 to 5 years, which is mainly determined by the volumes of biomass

SYNTHESIS OF MODULAR UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY SYSTEMS WITH INCREASED RELIABILITY
DescriptionThe level of technical development today requires the creation of highly effective, including reliable, uninter-rupted power supply systems. We have shown modern requirements and design features of modern systems of uninterruptible power supply, which should be built on a modular principle. It is shown that the problem of synthesis of systems in a modular approach is addressing three issues: development of the structure of the system subject to the requirements of consumers to quality of power and the allowable time of power outage; determining the required level redundancy of major functional units (blocks, elements) to ensure the required reliability of the system; - ensuring the most effective interconnection of modules, including electromagnetic compatibility, and the rational use during normal and emergency operation of the system. We have proposed new structural solution of the main functional units and uninterrupted power supply systems in modular design. To reduce EMI and improve efficiency uninterruptible power supply systems in the design of static converters we need to use a transformer with a rotating magnetic field. In addition, the prospective current is to be used as a source of renewable energy. Another promising approach is the use of direct frequency converters as voltage stabilizers and frequency of the current
