ABOUT THE ROLE OF DESIGN ACTIVITIES IN PREPARATION OF THE COMPETITIVE EXPERT
DescriptionThe article is devoted to methods of training specialists in universities that meet the current qualification and professional requirements of the employers. The work formulates requirements to graduates of educational institutions, which include not only training high-level, but also personal qualities, which together allows the graduate to become a competitive specialist. As a possible method of preparation of such experts we justified the introduction of elements of project activity in educational process of universities. The proposed nested structure of the typical educational program, identifies the modules that are part of it, specify the purposes and functions of each module in the implementation of the project methods. Advantages of training in case of realization of scientific design activities were shown. The use of design methods within the module of General subjects, organization and implementation of interdisciplinary modules design and science and engineering activities are proposed. We noted the necessity of temporal and semantic coordination between all modules of the educational program with the aim of obtaining the maximum effect from the implementation of project methods in the educational process. It is proved, that the implementation of the project activity during training students not only develop competencies of educational standard, but also acquire and forming their own competencies needed for future career. The conditions of effective implementation of scientificresearch and design activities within universities were formulated

METHODOLOGY OF MODELING SOCIAL SYSTEMS FOR CONFLICT ANALYSIS AND CONTROL
DescriptionThis article provides results of studying the world achievements in modeling social systems in the aspects of personality, group, and social institute (e.g. the state and army). Through prism of conflict, we review research methodology for modeling social identity, social navigation, geopolitical processes, and command and control systems of the enemy. We discuss four agent-based models of social identity: SCIPR, MetaContrast, PS-I, and SILAS. We examine Spence model for modeling social navigation. Basic principles for modeling relations between the states are considered using ontology approach. The presented model allows systemic analysis of various micro- (intrastate) and macrolevel (external) variables and relations between them. Modeling command and control system of the enemy is implemented as a part of an automated decision support system that tackles the problems of enemy structure identification as well as classification of objects and relations within the structures. The object of study are approaches, methods and models for representation and analysis of group interaction. The subject of study are processes of agent self-identification and interaction, formal and informal organizations, the states and public institutes as well as processes and principles for group formation and mechanisms for behavior control. Research methodology: social network analysis, ontology approach, theory of graphs and hypergraphs, multiagent systems

FINDING AND RANKING KNOWLEDGE ON THE SEMANTIC WEB
DescriptionThe basis of Semantic Web technology is the possibility of joint construction of ontology and the formation of the dictionary without centralized control. All the information and the knowledge encoded in the ontology as semantic web-terms and the semantic web-documents. Swoogle helps software agents and knowledge engineers find Semantic Web knowledge encoded in RDF and OWL documents on the Web. Navigating such a Semantic Web on the Web is difficult due to the paucity of explicit hyperlinks beyond the namespaces in URIrefs and the few interdocument links like rdfs:seeAlso and owl:imports. In order to solve this issue, this paper proposes a novel Semantic Web navigation model providing additional navigation paths through Swoogle’s search services such as the Ontology Dictionary. Using this model, we have developed algorithms for ranking of Semantic Web objects at three levels of granularity: documents, terms and RDF graphs. The article focuses on the ranking at the document level, based on a rational search model, which emits the agent's behavior when navigating at the document level, and ranking on level terms, the value of which is determined by the number of their references in all documents

POSSIBILITIES OF THE EVOLUTION OF SOFTWARE SYSTEM OF MANAGEMENT DECISIONS SUPPORT
DescriptionThe article discusses the implementation of a software system to support management decisions designed to organize the educational process in higher educational institutions. We have completed argumentation of the development and application of a software system. This system was developed in the department of the computer engineering of Institute of computer technologies and information security, Southern Federal University (SFeDU). The article describes the algorithm of functioning of the system and its structure. The software system includes several subsystems and three external modules: "Personal load", "Materials to the schedule", "Work Plan of the Department". It provides basic information about the developed modules, discusses their purpose and functionality. Initial data for modules were defined. The results of the work of modules are confirmed by illustrations. The article describes the work of the subsystems composing the software system. These are a subsystem of data processing, a subsystem of decision-making and a subsystem of input/output. The structure of all subsystems is detailed at the block level, the purpose of blocks was determined. Resulting files of the module work are generated in an XML-format and can be converted into an Excel-format that considerably facilitates a task of their subsequent use and processing. The system and the additional module possess the convenient functional interface and, considering facilities on adjustment for the concrete user, can be used in structural divisions of various universities

Description
In the Southern Federal University on the genetic basis of sunflower inbred line 3629, a collection of plastid mutants with varying degrees of chlorophyll deficiency was created by inducing Nnitrosomethylurea. Chlorophyll content was associated with their photosynthetic activity. It was found that the lower the chlorophylls content in mutant plastids, the lower the sugar concentration in plant tissues. For example, during the entire period of plant growth for whites (1.0-3.0 % chlorophylls a+b from control) var- 10, var-17 and yellows (6.0-9.5 % chlorophylls a+b from control) var-29, var-33 leaf areas of variegated mutants depending on the development phase and the content of green pigments are characterized by a low (2-7 fold) sugar content. Yellow-green (75.5% chlorophylls a + b from control) leaves of en:chlorina- 7 contain a higher level of carbohydrates, although it is 1.5-2 fold lower than at line 3629. Monosaccharides are products of hydrolytic reactions catalyzed by β- glycosidases. It was shown, that the activity level of β- galactosidase and β-glucosidase exceeded the corresponding indicators of the control at 1.5-2 and 2-7 fold, respectively. Similarly to enzymes from the water-soluble fraction, membrane-bound β- glycosidases also showed increased activity in the leaves of the investigated mutants, compared to the control green plants of 3629. Consequently, the activity of β-glycosidases increases dramatically in leaf tissues with deficiency of photosynthetic. Thus, chlorophyll mutations can lead to a change in the expression of nuclear genes, resulting in a significant increase in the activity of β-glycosidases in the mutant organelles themselves

MODELING NEURAL INTERACTIONS WITH THE USE OF CELLULAR AUTOMATION
DescriptionThis article considers the organization of neuralnetwork interactions based on models of cellular automata. These models are focused on improving the efficiency of the iterative processes of functioning of neural networks and their learning. The models considered in this article are presented in the form of two-level hierarchical structures. Models of the lower level are defined as "cellular neural element". They are based on formal descriptions of the dynamic neurons with the additional insertion of the state functions and the special procedures of formation of the specified function. Also, we have added special methods for forming patterns of activation functions. The conception of developed models is based on the use of the theory of graphs, theory of neural networks and the mechanism of cellular automata. These models will be used as the basis for software modeling

PROSPECTS OF CULTURE SPECIES OF BETULACEAE IN ROSTOV REGION
DescriptionWere summed up of perennial introductory tests of the representatives of the family Betulaceae S.F. Gray in the Botanical Garden SFedU. The 33 species of this family have been studied for a total. Evaluation of winter hardiness of the family members showed that the absolute resistance to the full range of factors winter have representatives genus Betula, also Alnus incana (L.) Moench and Corylus colurna L. Species of the genus Betula and Corylus may be attributed to the plants having a resistance to drought. The highly drought-resistant species – Carpinus betulus L., C. turczaninowii Hance, Alnus incana (L.) Moench and Ostrya carpinifolia Scop. Less than drought-resistant – Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn. Most of the tested species should be attributed to hemixerophytes. The high degree of defeat by fungal diseases of the species genera Alnus, Betula and Carpinus makes them unsuitable for the regional culture. The causative agent of the disease is a fungus Chondrostereum purpureum (Pers.) Pouzar. Based on the totality ecological and biological properties only species of the genus Corylus remain promising for the culture. For introductory test it is advisable to attract drought-tolerant species of the family Betulaceae such as: Alnus barbata C.A. Mey., A. rubra Bong., A. rugosa (Du Roi) Spreng., Carpinus cordata Blume, C. caucasica Grossh., C. caroliniana Walter, C. orientalis Miller., C. tschonoskii Maxim., Betula insignis Franch., B. lanata (Regel) V.N.
