Description
The article reports about the results of the new population of protected herb species studying in the Rostov region and in the Russian Federation - Cymbochasma borysthenica (Pall are given. ex Schlecht.) Klok. & Zoz (Orobanchaceae), registered in 2014 on the northern coast of Mius Liman in the Rostov-on-Don Region. The new habitat is located at considerable distance from the earlier known. The population area has about 200 sq. m, total number – more than 1000 uneven-age specimens of a seed and vegetative origin. Population consists of two cenopopulations one of which lives in community of transitional type from a timyannik to a stony steppe (association: Festuca valesiaca – Cleistogenes bulgarica – Cymbochasma borysthenica – Thymus dimorphus), another – as a part of the stony steppe (association: Festuca valesiaca + Agropyron pectinatum + Galatella villosa), created at the limestone shell rock exits. Cenopopulation in community of transitional type, despite the smaller area (50 sq. m), differs by more number and density. Both cenopopulations are similar in age ranges character and vitality of specimens. They belong to a normal type (capable to vegetative and seed self-maintenance) with a left-side age range that allows estimating them as rather stable, despite very limited area

DYNAMICS OF RESTORATION OF BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF BLACK SOILS POLLUTED WITH OIL
DescriptionNegative impact of oil on biological properties of soils right after pollution is shown in the article. Eventually, there is their restoration. However, even in some years after pollution, the biological properties of soils aren't restored completely

Description
We studied the effects of heavy metal pollution on soil phytotoxicity cities of the Rostov region. The research objects were the soils of urbolandscape towns: Taganrog, Novocherkassk, Gukovo, Shakhty, Azov. The study of the soil pollution with heavy metals was recorded in Gukovo, Shakhty, Taganrog. The degree of pollution of the studied cities form the following row: Gukovo > Shakhty > Taganrog > basics > Novocherkassk. The research was carried out in 2011-2015 at the Department of ecology and environmental Sciences of southern Federal University. In most cases, there was a direct correlation between pollutant concentration and the degree of deterioration of the studied soil properties. Used biological indicators are informative for monitoring of urban soils polluted with heavy metal. The degree of informativity of biological indicators form the following row: root length > germination >length of shoots. The results of the study can be used for monitoring and diagnosing the condition of contaminated soils, in the assessment of environmental impact, risk assessment of natural and synthetic disasters, the development of regional standards on the content of heavy metals in soil and in other environmental and industrial activities

Description
In this article we present the analysis of all the theoretic approaches for modernization and maintenance of historical centers of the cities by the design sources in the point of view of systemic approach to the investigation of the problems. It is revealed that in the concerning area there is a wide experience of investigations and also a big number of various attempts of creation and development of methodological apparatus, which determines the strategy of application of the design products to urban environment in general and to historical environment in particular. However, the complex of scientifically-based solution of the problems in indicated sphere has not developed yet, and as a consequence, the common strategy of maintenance and modernization of historical centers by the design sources are not determined yet. These results of carried out investigations can become a basis for the development of systemic approach for conflict-free penetration into natural historically formed context of the design objects and the saturation of the existing environment

ENZYME ACTIVITY OF SEVERAL SOILS OF THE CRIMEA
DescriptionThe article considers the enzymatic activity and some other ecological and biological properties of zonal soils of the Crimea (cambisol, Chromic cambisol, different subtypes of chernozems). We have revealed significant differences in catalase, dehydrogenase, polyphenol oxidase, peroxidase, invertase for soils of the Crimea, which can not be explained only by the content of soil organic matter. Despite the low humus content of the soil, some have a high level of some enzymes. The level of enzyme activity depends on the reaction medium, the content of carbonate and other soil properties. We have also revealed that the agricultural use of brown soils under vineyards leads to a significant change in their properties and enzymatic activity

THE MATHEMATICALLY BASED CHOISE OF VISCOELASTIC IN SHUNT GLAUCOMA SURGERY
DescriptionThe dramatic lowering of intraocular pressure (hypotony) is developing during glaucomatous surgery due to the formation of the new aqueous humor outflow. The calculations of the flow in the fluid balance parameters have shown, that for the normal intraocular pressure maintenance in the postoperative period the fluid flow out of the anterior chamber should not exceed 0,04 microliter in minute. The intensity of the aqueous humor outflow through the shunts with different parameters does not depend on the shunt length. The shunt with the inner hole radius 0,025 mm is the most safe as it provide the less outflow. The experimental comparative study of the static viscosity of the most widely used viscoelastics in ophthalmological surgery was carried out. It was stated that used in eye surgery viscoelastics on the basis of 1%, 2% and 3% sodium hyaluronate possess the viscosity, that differs in 10 and 100 times and has significant influence on the flow intensity out of the anterior chamber when the new outflow tracts are formed. The mathematically based choice of the most optimal relationship between the viscoelastics physical parameters and the inner hole size of the shunt type glaucoma drainage devices was established. Shunt with the inner hole radius 0,05 mm and simultaneous use of 2% and 3% sodium hyaluronate solution is the most safe for the maintenance of the eye tonus during the first 5 days after glaucoma surgery. The presented correlation allows to increase the safety of the surgical treatment of the patients with the refractory glaucoma

COMBINED METHOD OF EDGE DETECTION FOR X-RAY MEDICAL IMAGES USING ACTIVE CONTOUR APPROACH
DescriptionThe method of edge detection for X-ray medical images is proposed in the article. The method uses active contours approach for object edge refinement and combines advantages of active contours and those of the method proposed by author in his earlier researches. The method is suggested to be used in interactive diagnosis systems
