THE USE OF TRITICALE IN THE DIETS OF YOUNG GOSLINGS
06.00.00 Agricultural sciences
DescriptionThe article presents the results of studies on the use of different amounts by weight of triticale grain in feeding of young geese raised for meat. In the first group the wheat grain was 50% replaced by triticale grain, and in the second group the wheat was completely replaced by triticale grain. As a result of the experiment it has been found that the replacement of wheat by triticale in complete feed for geese provides a high growth rate but at 50 % inclusion of triticale grain the live weight at the end of the experience was110.8 g or 3% higher, as compared with the second group. It should be noted that up to 49 days old geese receiving compound feed with the 100 % replacement by triticale grain had a higher body weight. Complete replacement by triticale grain favoured the increase of carcass yield by 2.2% and decrease of body fat by 68.7 g as compared with the first group. Muscle tissue of the goslings fed the complete feed with complete replacement for triticale grain was characterized by 1% lower caloriс content than the goslings of the second group. According to biochemical composition of blood, all designed rations ensured normal metabolism in the fattened geese. The inclusion of triticale grain into the complete feed for young geese reduced their costs in the second group by 2.9%. But as a result the higher profit by 18.75 % was in the first group, which contributed to increased profitability by 2.4%. It is recommended to use up to 50% of triticale grain instead of wheat as part of complete feed for young fattening meat geese

EFFECT OF DRY BAKERY YEAST SACCHAROMYCES CEREVISIАE IN MILK COWS DIET
06.00.00 Agricultural sciences
DescriptionThe effect of dietary supplementation with dry bakery yeast culture Saccharomyces cerevisiae in high concentrate diet (F:C=47:53) on milk yeald and rumen fermentation were studied on two groups primiparous lactaiting cows (8 cows per group) and four ruminally cannulated nonlactaiting cows on diet F:C=25:75. Cows fed yeast during 67 days produced 1.24 kg/d and 1.66 kg/d natural and 4% fat corrected milk respectively more, than control cows. Milk protein and fat percentages were also higher. On diet with yeast ruminal concentration of lactate was lower and butirate+propionate was higher. The yeast incrised rumen pH, decreased NH3 in rumen and urea in blood, decreased viscosity of rumen fluid

DescriptionWe have studied the influence of dietary probiotics and metal salts, iron and copper, as detoxifiers for the negative factors which adversely affect the sanitary condition of feeds for farm animals. The optimal doses of detoxifiers in the food infected with mold due to storage conditions were found. The positive effect was, on average, 8%

USING YOUNG GROWTH OF THE HORNED CATTLE FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC BEEF FOR BABY FOOD
06.00.00 Agricultural sciences
DescriptionExperimental data were obtained to draft a national standard for organic production of meat from calves of meat breeds to produce baby food in the new conditions of development of the meat industry. Research results have shown that Aberdeen-Angus meat breed cattle meets the national standard of RUSSIA 52478-2005 for raw meat for baby food due to chemical composition of meat and its quality

06.00.00 Agricultural sciences
DescriptionThe article presents materials on comparative study of the nutritional value of chickpeas and peas which are widespread in the arid zone of the Southern Urals. The scheme of the scientific and economic experiments involved the assessment of yield formation of chickpeas and peas during the vegetation. The study showed that different varieties of chickpea and pea have considerable difference in the content of nutrients. The amount of crude protein in the pea grain ranged from 25.1 to 26.8%, and chickpea – 21.7 - 22.9%. With regard to the fat, its highest concentration was in chickpea grain - 3.63%, on average, which is 1.16% higher than on average in the pea grain. The chemical composition of the pea and chickpea grain of different varieties points to differences in their composition and homogeneity within the culture. Basing on the study, we recommend to sow chickpea and pea grain in the middle of May to obtain the highest yield, this, in turn, has a positive effect on the nutritional value of the crops. When selecting plants for cultivation in the conditions of the Southern Urals, it is preferable to choose the variety of Madonna pea, which has a higher potential for yield than the chickpea variety Krasnokutsky-123. It has been experimentally found that chickpea grain has better moisture-retaining power in a bound condition during the vegetation period as compared to the relevant characteristics of pea grain, which is a positive drought-resistant value of crop. In structural elements of the harvest the peas showed the trend of the highest rates in comparison with the corresponding elements in chickpeas
