The article is written in line with contemporary cognitive studies of language and devoted to identifying meaning content of the concept of “business” and its associative field, verbalized in modern speech of Russian students and definition of the role of foreign language elements in creating this field in Russian language. A linguistic associative experiment (both free and chain) is used as the main method of investigation. As a result of experiment interpretation a structure of the associative field of the concept of business is determined. The field consists of 8 semantic microfields: 1) processes that are typical for business; 2) business entities; 3) business attributes / institutions; 4) positive events and business results; 5) negative events and consequences; 6) personal characteristics of businessmen; 7) money; 8) economic / political terms, related to business. Specific weight of foreign language element in associative field of the concept of “business” is determined generally and in each semantic microfield. An analysis of the ratio of original and foreign language elements of the associative field has found that such microfields as «business attributes» and «business entities» are mostly represented by foreign words (loanwords and their derivatives). Foreign language elements influence verbalization of human and universal components of the semantic field of the concept of «business» such as personality traits and emotions. The conclusion correlates with the basic tendency to borrowing words from English into Russian language. To sum up, 40% of vocabulary of the associative field of the concept of “business” is foreign words

THE IMAGE OF THE THING IN THE STORY OF “INTERESTING MEN” WRITTEN BY NIKOLAI LESKOV
10.00.00 Philological sciences
Description
What is the thing under the philosophical interpretation? The thing is a subject of the material reality, which existence is relatively independent and stable. Everything has its place in space. The material world consists of the totality of things, and that is why, concerning the image of “the thing” in a literary work, we address to all the objects created by men, which enter the world of the plot. It can be a costume of a character, an interior of his house, utensils, personal items and many other things which compose the usual sphere of cultural life. In the course of the development of the society people withdraw themselves from the natural environment; their environment becomes man-made. The world of things is naturally reflected in the literature, and in the course of time its importance increases. We can explore some features of an author’s worldview through the analysis of his ideological and topical works. The study proves that the material world is fully and equally represented in the author’s stories. Therefore, the vision of the material world is a deeper property of the author's consciousness than the ideological and thematic occupancy of the works. The material world is one of the main problems of Leskov's worldview. Leskov is a realist. The filling of the material world can be either religious or social. In the spiritual stories «the thing» must be pushed to the sidelines and become a religious symbol. But Leskov breaks this system and remains temporal

10.00.00 Philological sciences
Description
The aim of the study is to describe the concept of conflict linguistic personality and construct a model of linguistic identity. By summing up common features of the individual personalities we have created the model of conflict linguistic personality, based on three levels: verbal-semantic, cognitive and pragmatic. 1. Verbal - semantic level. Unlike other subtypes of conflict discourse, everyday conflict discourse is characterized by slang, invective, obscene vocabulary. Another feature of everyday conflict discourse is familiarity. Imperatives are also among the characteristic features of conflict. There are also some non-verbal components that play an important role in constructing the model of conflict linguistic personality, such as gestures and mimicry. 2. Cognitive level. Typical conflict linguistic personality rarely tries to mince the words at the peak of the conflict, so his/her cultural level comes "through the language." 3. Pragmatic level. On this level diverse and even opposing tactics are possible depending on the purpose of conflict linguistic personality, as well as his/her social role and psychological state at the moment. The cooperative tactics include: acceptance, conviction, compassion, assignment, promise, etc. Noncooperative tactics include: mockery, accusation, insults, threats, pressure, interruption, provocation

The article is devoted to the analysis of the features of the translation of onomatopoeic sounds when translating a literary tale on the material of the fairy tales of K.S. Lewis "The Chronicles of Narnia." The work compares the English literary fairy tale and its translation into Russian in order to reveal the laws of the translation of onomatopoeias in the literary text. Four lexical groups of onomatopoeias are thought to be widely represented in the fairy tales "The Chronicles of Narnia" written by K.S. Lewis: imitations of sounds produced by human beings; imitations of sounds produced by animals and birds sounds; imitations of sounds of natural phenomena; imitations of sounds of inanimate objects. Translation of onomatopoeias into the text of fairy tales can represent a certain problem for translators. The article substantiates the specificity of the equivalents selection of the English-speaking onomatopoeic vocabulary in Russian language.
