DescriptionProblem of regulation and standardization of scientific-technical terminology is considered in the article. Under regulation of terminology it is possible to create new terms. Regulation is central one, and more important terminological work, which is summarized from some stages. Especially the urgent problem is the problem of selection of special vocabulary and creation of the academic terminological vocabulary on its basis. Academic terminological vocabulary, based on the systemic-structural approach to the study of vocabulary, allows not only to determine content of a term, but to present the whole system of meanings of such and such branches of science and technology in whole.

POSSIBLE LIMITS OF CONFIRMATION OF BELONGING TO RUSSIAN MASTER FELONS’ BROTHERHOOD

DescriptionThe article focuses on one of the aspects of The Russian Felony Idea revealed during answer to the question of affiliation to the Russian Master Felons’ Brotherhood. This aspect are the limits of candor during the answer along with their reasons. The work also aims at the analysis of the strategies of discursive behavior during an inter-level contact between a law enforcement unit officer and a felon. In the article, the author uses a model to analyze the Russian criminal discourse that was proven earlier on the basis of a synthesis of the ideas suggested by L.N. Gumilev, U. Eco, and O.V. Leszczak. This model made it possible to prove the existence of the Thieves’ Law in a written form with further division into the Old Thieves’ Law and the New Thieves’ Law that differ from each other in material form of their existence. Moreover, it was possible to shift back the moment of its formation up to hundreds of years earlier than it was believed before. The material gathered by the author in conversations is verified on the basis of open-access sources; it allows the author not to mention the personal data of respondents’, who live in different European countries, and totally eliminates such possibility. In this research, the author focuses on one and only aspect, other related aspects are taken into consideration according to their necessity for the aims of the work

PROXEMAS’ VERBALIZATION IN FICTIONAL PROSE OF K.D. VOROBYOV

DescriptionThe article is concerned with proxemic communication connected with changing the relative positioning of communicants when interacting, in fictional prose of K.D. Vorobyov. This essential part of interaction is implied with the individual author’s approach to verbal representation of corresponding features and lexis’s choice preferences, its quantitative and qualitative characteristics in the writer’s fictional prose. By analogy with the term paracinema, the term paraproxema is also used for defining these kinds of language phenomena. Paraproxemas were analyzed with reference to semantic, stylistic and morphological aspects. There are two thematic groups of terms with the reference to retract and extend of the relative positioning of communicants being defined in the article. The distribution is based on semantics of verbs and function words. Changing the relative positioning of communicants changes the social zone and reports different information as exemplified with three stories of K.D. Vorobyov. The mutual influence of paracinemas and paraproxemas creates the integrated image of communicants, which gestures, facial expressions, and movements not only accompany but also complete speech

DescriptionThis article is dedicated to solving the problem of language and culture relationship in the modern society. Concept “love” is the main subject of the article; the author shows its examples in popular stage songs. There are five variations of love from the psychological and sociological point of view in the article. The author depicts how they are used in the song discourse. According to the research data the author consider that all variations of love in the lyrical song genre are not equally frequent. So while erotic love is almost everywhere, selfish love isn’t so popular. Moreover, the author concludes the cultural level of the whole nation can be defined with its creative arts. Furthermore, nowadays there is clear decadence of culture in English-speaking countries

DescriptionThis article touches the current issue of variable approach to choosing the variant of scientific and technical translation. Development of Linguistics and the sciences, studying a man and his activities, and increasing the flow of information due to the rapid development of the areas of science require another approach to the development of mechanisms for the translation process. This article discusses and analyzes multidimensional models of translation, their versatility with the dynamics of the translation process. The authors consider the translation as a specific component of communication using two languages in which the problems of philosophy, psychology, physiology, sociology and linguistics are accumulated. Particular attention is paid to the problem of interpretation of the concept of "invariant", which allows the translation of scientific and technical literature to achieve adequacy of the translated text with the original one, saving the message content and statements shades that is the style of the original text. This article details the various methods of translation, their effectiveness, and the authors estimate each type of translation in terms of use for practical purposes and in view of reducing the rate of a man work and reducing the complexity of his operations

VARIABILITY OF A PSYCHOTHERAPIST’S SPEECH TACTICS AS A FACTOR OF EFFECTIVE PERSUASION

DescriptionCombinability of psychotherapist’s speech tactics used in the context of a therapy session is considered. Psychotherapeutic discourse is distinguished from similar notions of medical discourse and therapeutic discourse. The specificity and sequential organization of speech tactics are determined by the character of the interaction in the dyad “therapist – client”, which is categorized as oral unprepared semi-official nonpublic speech. The rationale for using tactics with therapeutic effect is to induce the reappraisal of the problem situation in the sphere of the addressee. Speech tactics form a syntagmatic sequence, based on the evaluative modus of the state of affairs: moving from a negative appraisal to a normative appraisal (normalization tactic); from a normative appraisal to a positive appraisal (positivization tactics). Psychotherapist’s speech tactics are an immediate response to the client’s preceding speech move.
