Description
The article examines the teaching descriptive geometry and engineering graphics on Faculty of Civil Engineering, higher-motivation of students to obtain needed competence to adopt competently compensation-drawings. The article describes the basic methods of conducting classes on the subject "Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics" for students enrolled in the specialty 08.05.01 "Construction of unique buildings and structures." For lectures and laboratory classes in the department of descriptive geometry and graphics were developed multimedia courses with animation for all studied subjects, educational presentations that reveal the specifics of the discipline into account peculiarities of the educational process of learning in the Kuban State Agricultural university. Multimedia courses using enables us to model a situation that forces students to analyze, compare the solves of the task. Students develop an algorithmic way of thinking, formed the ability to think and act optimally variability. The use of multimedia development at the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Graphics showed an increase of performance results compared to the previous years of employment without presentation. It indicates that the use of multimedia lectures and laboratory exercises improves the efficiency and quality of education, as well as gives an opportunity to a greater extent to explain the learning material for students

Car license plates recognition problem is one of the typical tasks of computer vision. Video surveillance software usually provides license plates recognition function. Meanwhile, there are many approaches to solve this problem, where template-based methods are the most common. Such methods providing predictable and short enough execution time, and little percent of mistakes. However, such methods are far less effective in case there is a need to recognize car’s license plate, which may be located in unpredictable place, typed in undefined font and on non-standard background, or without strict formatting. For example, USA car license plates. One of the methods to increase effectiveness and quality of such license plates recognition is to use neural networks. It is assumed, that neural networks usage can significantly increase recognition quality. Nevertheless, neural networks usage entails difficulties of it’s training, and often becomes less efficient as template-based methods usage. This article discusses probability of usage of convolutional neural network, which was trained using MNIST (Mixed National Institute of Standards and Technology) database. This article is a review of usage of templates and neural networks for car’s license plate recognition in terms of quality, performance and complexity of the usage

Description
The article considers issues of presentation of educational material using verbal and visual metaphors. Metaphors functions are analyzed, such as: representative, which is a new phenomenon and new object. The second function is the information, i.e., metaphor gives the initial information. The third function is called ornamental, where metaphor adorns scientific speech, makes it more intense. The fourth function of metaphor is explanatory that is metaphor explains the meaning of the phenomenon. The fifth function is economical, because the metaphor allows characterizing phenomena briefly and processes that are at a different way of expressing it was hard to describe. Sixth function is visual, as it creates an image, contributing to the achievement of this phenomenon. We have presented verbal and visual metaphors for each function in the example of teaching disciplines cytogenetics and genetic monitoring. For the implementation in the educational process of metaphors during 2 years of gathered verbal metaphors of scientific articles and books, and reinforce their visual metaphors based on works of art. It is shown that a metaphor conveys not only the primary sense, but also allows you to recreate a bright and unconventional way. In some cases, a metaphor can be a supplement to development of the new course, but sometimes they need to be the main focus in the presentation of the material

USE OF TERMS “ASU” AND “IS” IN AGRICULTURE FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF INFORMATICS
DescriptionThe article deals with the issues of comparing the terms of ACS and IS with reference to automation in agriculture. In the technical literature, at conferences, in educational disciplines of higher education institutions, such terms as: information systems (IS), information technologies (IT), automated control systems (ACS) are often encountered. These terms are widely applied to the relevant objects in the subject areas under consideration. The area of coverage of the objects using these terms is very wide and in each case the definition of the applied term is either not specified at all considered self-explanatory, or the term is defined with various levels of detalization. In the latter case, the thoughtful researcher falls into some confusion or generally tries not to touch upon this question. In the article, on the basis of a review of known literary sources, it is shown which concepts are denoted by these terms when considering automation issues in agriculture. The subject of the study is the use of the terms IT, IS, ACS in works on automation in agriculture. The subject of the study is questions of comparison of the terms ACS and IS. The aim of the study is to indicate that automated IS is a more general concept than ACS

ULTRA-LOW VOLUME SPRAYER'S PERFEC-TION FOR GARDENS AND VINEYARDS PRO-CESSING
05.20.00 Processes and machines of agroengineering systems
DescriptionThe urgency of the task in creating a reliable plant protection system is the improvement and development of new technologies for spraying crops on the basis of fundamentally new agricultural requirements at a higher quality level, increasing productivity, reducing energy costs and greening protective measures. Pneumatic slotted sprayers have great design capabilities allowing obtaining operating parameters necessary for the specific task of the sprayer. In this regard, we have proposed a technological scheme of the sprayer in the garden-vineyard version. To do this, the sprayers are placed in pneumatic ducts of the fans mounted on the sprayers. It is possible to reduce energy and resource costs, to achieve high quality indicators of the process and to increase the level of environmental friendliness by developing technical means for ultra-low-volume spraying. The principal novelty in solving the problem of ultra-low volume spraying is the use of KubSAU design pneumatic sprayers on the sprayer, and the scheme of the technological process, allowing the reduction of the working fluid and pesticides doses rate, resulting in reduced operating costs to support operations: preparation of working fluids and filling the sprayers. To process two rows simultaneously, it is possible to use sprayers equipped with two centrifugal fans with the installation of pneumatic slit sprayers with fixation in the ducts that they overlap, forcing the air from the fan to pass through the atomizer body, mixing with drops of working fluid. In this case, the speed of the air-droplet jets increases and more efficient use of the air jet from the fan occur. Along with the use of sprayers, equipped with KubSAU design pneumatic sprayers, to combat pests and diseases, we propose to use a sprayer to combat weeds in the trunk area of perennial plantations. Thus we have a family of ultra-low volume sprayers with pneumatic slotted sprayers of the Kuban State Agrarian University design
